These models refer to the project’s elements and have geometric data and physical qualities that precisely define them (dimensions, materials, and quantities).

In this context, we might discuss the method of “reverse engineering,” The stages that led to the production of a particular historical object are evaluated during the modeling process, thereby improving the modeling process itself.

    An architectural object’s reverse modeling procedure entails digitally transforming an object into a virtual replica (digital twins). The methodological approach is unusual because it combines several recording techniques, data analysis, and structural geometric and shape properties. The use of a digital model has the advantage of allowing for the modeling of forms and calculations, which is not always attainable with traditional analog procedures (on-site measurements, sketches, and photographs).
    The method of digital documentation of architectural history allows for the expression of the historic building’s quality and authenticity, preserving and sharing the architectural heritage’s original features.
